  5. Thirsty Thursdays – We NEED more volunteers!!
    1. Leader/sweep training. Give teachable moments so trainee can practice leading/sweeping in real time instead of just riding (not an official thing to sign up for).
    2. Comments from Club:
      1. Nancy: B+ same 4-5 routes, might help more leaders since there is familiarity. More leaders for B to open up more B+ leaders. Maybe once every 3 months
      2. Brad: B+ if we don’t have a leader, have a standard single route that will be followed (QR code for Strava link).
      3. Not feeling comfortable to lead with speed or when hitting hill
      4. Feeling of guilt if others aren’t signing up (those who lead often only sign up for one Thursday per month- can always jump in)
      5. Mid-sweeps are very helpful to make calls, stop traffic, etc. This can help get more comfortable with leading as well
      6. Strategies when not the fastest: before leaving a re-group location state the following re-group location, remember if people are in front of the leader then they are no longer on the ride, leader is setting the average
      7. Volunteer opportunity, please do not feel burdened!! It should be joyful and still fun!
    3. Sign up in Slack when availability gets posted, but if it becomes too much just choose one date for availability. Work dictates some of this availability, if you know you’ll be in town engage and communicate in the channel to give someone a break
    4. Explain the process of signing up
    5. Consistent language for each ride
      1. Workout versus Social Rides
      2. Eliminate questions and errors
      3. Working on consistent bullet points to post
  6. Kiley’s Updates
    1. POC ladies bibs available now at Velo
    2. Ostroy coming to Velo
